Try these fun dialogue prompts as a warm up

With each prompt, write ten lines of dialogue. (Five for each character). Have fun with these conversations and make sure it's impossible for a reader to guess the next line of dialogue. Be original and funny!
If you've got a bit more time, write each conversation into a proper scene including setting, action and one other character.
A hairdresser and a client have very different ideas about the success of a haircut.
'It makes you look like Blondie,' Paula said...
An artist and a client have different ideas about a recently finished commission.
'It looks nothing like my mother,' Stephen said, jabbing a finger at the portrait.
A mother and daughter have different ideas about a dress for a party.
'I look like a nun,' Amy shrieked and ripped off the dress.
A husband and wife have different ideas about potential dinner party guests.
'She acts as though I'm a waitress and you're on a date,' said Marnie.
Two friends have different ideas about splitting the bill.
'I'm not paying half again. Absolutely not,' says Claudia.
